What's exciting about being black VS what it really means to be black !!

What's exciting about being black when we still live in absolute poverty, when we still live in dusty areas without proper resources. What's exciting about being black when you're treated as a foreigner in your own country, when you're still regarded as unimportant and irrelevant . What's nice about being black when our fathers are still garden boys, what's exciting about our fathers still getting carried at the back of "bakkies", what's exciting about being black when our mothers are still tea girls or let me say "kitchen meisies", what's exciting about our mothers STILL bringing home the "madams" leftovers in order to feed us. What's exciting about being black when the is really nothing to celebrate for being black, what's exciting about being black when it's STILL black kids who learn under a tree, who have to walk long distances to go to schools of which are under developed and are lacking in resources. What's exciting about being black when the countries economy still benefits a hand full of people of which aren't black , what's exciting about being black when some universities STILL use the race policy as a factor for admission of which only a certain number of black students get admitted . What's exciting about being black when black people are still laughed at for failing to speak English but we never laugh when people fail to speak our African languages , what's exciting about being black? Now let's move on.
Being black is the most beautiful thing ever! It comes with high expectations and a heavy background,  it means first accepting that you're black and all the pressure that comes with that and being proud of your African heritage! Being black means embracing your blackness no matter what and never falling into the trap that being black is not cool. Steve Bantu Biko once said "Being black is not a matter of pigmentation - being black is a reflection of a mental attitude", being black means not following the status quo if it jeopardizes your black heritage and the way you do things as a black person , being black means waking up in the early hours of the day and making things happen, being black means never looking down on yourself and your fellow black brothers and sisters, being black means upholding the morals of Ubuntu on a daily basis and never forgetting who you are and where you're from . Being black might be associated with the bad but you aren't! Being black might be seen as a disadvantage to some but you aren't ! Being black is the most amazing gift ever that I wouldn't change for anything , being black has many challenges and yet again being black means overcoming everything that comes your way. Being black is an attitude, it goes hand in hand with how you think, talk, react and how you do things. Being black means you're Beautiful, Loving, Ambitious, Caring and Kind #BLACK
